Our take

StreamVault is a good free player if you want more than the basics. It handles M3U and Xtream Codes, and adds a guide, favorites, recording and multi-view. It suits Android TV, Google TV and Firestick owners who don't mind installing an APK by hand.

What we like

  • Free, with a solid feature set
  • Works with both M3U and Xtream Codes
  • Clean live TV layout
  • TV guide support
  • Favorites and recently watched
  • Multi-view and recording

What could be better

  • You may have to install the APK manually
  • Setup takes longer than simpler players
  • It's a newer app, so future updates depend on the developer
  • The layout can feel crowded on small screens
